A Long Awaited Update

If I were to tell you that completing the recording of our second EP was rough, that would be a colossal understatement. We set out for the amazingly talented Veux Studios mid last year to record six awesome new songs to share with the world, and came back with five. That missing song is titled “The Trigger,” and if you've seen it live, something always goes wrong when we play this song. That curse rolled into its recording as well.

Back in May of 2023 when we first recorded it, we messed up the drum track in such a way that we couldn't fix it. This forced us to make the drive back to Oklahoma City to record the entire song another day, which we booked for August. That second time we got the drum track and part of the lead guitar, but job and personal issues arose that cost us the remainder of our time. Fortunately, Veux Studio is awesome and patient, so we set our date to finish it in December. But when December came, I had the flu and couldn't make it. Which led to the last rescheduling of this last weekend, where we finally finished “The Tigger” once and for all! (Until it screws with us live again.)

Hopefully you find that as amusing as we do now that it's over, but it was a frustrating series of events to get it here. The upside is that it sounds amazing, and it’s FINISHED, and the provided photo of Laekyn sums up how we all feel about it! Our second EP is in queue for mixing, and mastering will be directly after.
